Lovely opening! A little complex on the get go: spiced pineapple, cinnamon, a little floralcy, and a boozy-slightly leathery aroma sitting underneath all this driving the base.
The delicate nuances of jasmine and Tonka creep through the boozy accord, softening the leather – sweetening the scotch.
This is a homey scent, you wear this to feel comforted and warm – with its touches of dry inviting cedar sit beside the scotch, it creates the aura of firelogs sitting, waiting to be put into the fire.
Three good sprays and the oils hardly spread (good concentration/oils!) down my arm, longevity is of no issue with this I can tell. Not that large of a sillage I must admit? This is more intimate than that and I appreciate it as such if I’m being quite frank.
Definitely will acquire a bottle of this.

This one I was a little surprised by! I was fully expecting a very sweet and synthetic banana note, but the richer woody, boozy, and musky notes, balance the banana out and turn it into a deep ripe gourmand banana aroma.
Very good profile, and a worthy sample for those who don’t like sweet gourmand profiles.
So… I’ll say I don’t hate this, but it doesn’t get my gears going. There’s a very shear, green apple note that’s quite pervasive in the opening. Notes of Ambroxan and boozy undertones follow, but it’s not as boozy as I had wished it was.
Worth a sample, but not my style :)
